I received my education in Italy where in 2015 I graduated with Honors from the University of Bologna with a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, and in 2018 I received a M.Sc. in Marine Biology. During my university years, I interned at Passow Lab (UCSB), at the Alfred Wegener Institute (Germany) and at the Centro ENEA (Italy). Upon completion of the Master's program, I was awarded a Fulbright Graduate Study Scholarship and a Zegna Founder's Scholarship, both of which enable a small number of Italian students to undertake post-graduate studies in the US.
My work focuses on characterization of marine sinking particles and their role in biogeochemical cycles using a variety of tools including the marine snow catcher. Advisors: Uta Passow and David Siegel.
