Surf happens in practice, not in theory. This course was designed to provide in depth coverage of selected topics from GEOG 20, to afford students the opportunity to engage in fieldwork outside of the classroom, and to develop practical skills related to the study of surfing. Student activities will include keeping a Surfer's field journal and learning practical methods of surf forecasting from North Pacific surface pressure charts.
