If
you would like to have GEOG 143 count towards the GE Writing Requirement you
will need to submit a "Petition for Degree Requirements" to the College
of Letters and Science. I spoke with one of the academic advisors at L&S
and they said that term paper for GEOG 143 definitely satisfies the requirements.
I have several copies of the petition form in my office and will bring them
to the next lecture. As far as I can tell, the only way the petition would not
work is if you have already petitioned and received writing requirement credits
for two other courses. Let me know if you have any questions.
