Robinson, Timothy. 2002. Won a Coastal Environmental Quality Graduate Fellowship, University of California Marine Council for two years of funding.

Liu, XiaoHang. 2001. Won a Lockheed Martin Graduate Fellowship to work with high resolution IKONOS imagery.

Liu, XiaoHang and Claes Andersson. 2001. Received third place in the Student Paper Competition at the UCGIS conference in June. The paper was entitled "First Exploration on the Impact of Temporal Resolution on Dynamic Land Use Change Modeling. (Paper)

Goldstein, Noah. 2001. Was accepted and will be attending this summer the Santa Fe Institute program on "Complex Systems Summer School".

Candau, Jeannette. 2000. Won the Horwood Critique Prize at the URISA 2000 Conference for her paper with Keith C. Clarke on Probabilistic Land Cover Modeling Using Deltatrons. Orlando, FL; August 19-23.

Candau, Jeannette. 2000. Won third place in the NSF Graduate Fellowship Competition at the GIS-EM4 Conference for her paper on Calibrating a Cellular Automata of Urban Growth in a Timely Manner. Banff, Canada, Sept. 2-9.

Goldstein, Noah. 2000. Received a scholarship to attend the GIS and Environmental Modeling conference, Banff, Canada.

Goldstein, Noah. 2000. Received a scholarship to attend the Artificial Life 7 conference, Portland, Oregon.
