Wright brothers of Dayton, Ohio changed the world with their flying machine. Wilbur Wright was the pilot, and together with L. P. Bonvillain on board, he acquired the first remotely sensed image from an airplane in France in 1908. The next year, the first aerial motion pictures was recorded in Italy with another photographer on board.
On Dec 17, 1902 at Kitty Hawk in N Carolina the 276 "flyer 1" took the world's first powered flight. Flyer 1 was a biplane made of wood with a wingspan of 40 feet, the wings were covered in stretched muslin and the craft was powered by a 12 hp engine. It went 75 yards and changed the world.
