In the period Spring 2007 - Fall 2007 I shall teach:

 
  1. Ground Water Hydrology, Geog. 116/Earth Science 173,  Fall 2007: great class!
  2. Environmental Hydrology, Geog. 112, Spring 2007: theory, field work, and computer labs: what else can you ask for?
  3. Water Resources Systems, Geog. 208, Fall 2007:  a superb course on  surface/groundwater management and systems        analysis!

     I will be on sabatical leave December 15, 2007 through September 20, 2008
 
    Current research projects include:
       sea level rise and coastal aquifers in California
       the flooding-drying cycle of vernal pools,
       wetlands restoration: rainfall, infiltration, evaporation;
       writing national standards for the probabilistic
             characterization of aquifer parameters; seepage forces and their geotechnical implications;
       stream-aquifer interactions.
        energy sources and options for the 21st Century.

  
   Upcoming trips include Costa Rica, Portugal, Hawaii, France, Iceland  and other amazing sites.
    Plus tours through Los Padres  National Forest of California, and the Sierra Nevada
    in California. Busy schedule.
