June 21, 2003, Solstice
Parade in downtown Santa Barbara. Geographers can be found sometimes
in the parade and always on the sides, cheering as the motley assortment
of sillies traipse by. All costumes are self-made. All floats are
hand-powered. Anyone can participate. For a few more photos, taken
on this gray, though brightly spirited day, go to the Solstice
2003 page. Susanna Baumgart. |
