To the left is a rendering of the official NASA International Space Station (ISS) Window Observational Research Facility (WORF) patch, which includes an element honoring Jack Estes. The four-pointed star at the top right was included because Jack was the single person most responsible for there being a window.

Jack was a highly respected professor of Geography at UCSB from 1969 to 2001, when he died. For more information on Jack's life, go to the memorial pages about him.
