Honors:
Rick was Chair of the Department from 1984 to 1988. He has served as a consultant to a number of companies and agencies on a wide variety of problems, including systems for manpower deployment as well as systems for scheduling training activities which is used by the US Navy, the German Air Force, and the Australian Army. He is a co-inventor on a US Patent on estimating manpower needs for emergency medical systems from computerized data systems.
